DROFUS CLOUD MIGRATION

dRofus is continuously improving and we are standardising on hosting our services in the cloud. For several years we have provided dRofus to our customers across the globe by leveraging the strengths of cloud hosting and we are now upgrading our scandinavian customers to the cloud so that also they can have the same benefits as our customers that are already there.

You can follow the migration status here.

Why are we migrating to the cloud?

We are moving to the cloud for security and data modernisation purposes. We believe that benefits our customers and also us.

Security and data protection:

dRofus is dedicated to securing our customer data and we are able to enhance the security of our services by utilising the powerful security toolbox that cloud services provide. We are migrating to AWS, a cloud provider with rigorous security and compliance programs in place. Please see the reference section below for details.

Data modernisation and performance:

Technology is moving fast, and in order to keep up with this pace we need to standardise on platforms that enables us move fast with minimum downside for our customers.

What does it mean to our customers?

The migration will require some downtime of dRofus and customers databases will be unavailable during the migration. However, we will make sure the migration takes place outside of normal business hours. You may experience some instability just after migration.

After migration dRofus will be working just as before and should not affect your dRofus-users significantly. The changes happen behind the scenes:

1
Customer data

residency will be AWS Stockholm, Sweden.

2
The dRofus database
will have a new IP address. For customers that need IP whitelisting, you can whitelist 16.170.195.236 on port 5432
3
The web-services

will be routed automatically to the new datacenter.

4
Server login is still
db2.nosyko.no, but you can also use no.drofus.com to reach the same server.
